The fire that had erupted in the Mahara Prison following a conflict of the inmates has been extinguished a short while ago, stated the Mahara Police.
The Director of the Ragama hospital Dr Shelton Perera further said that the number of people admitted to the hospital following the unrest has increased to 52.
