A fish vendor residing in the Rathgama MOH Division has tested positive for COVID-19 today (28), Area PHIs stated.
The infected person was running a fishing boat on the Rathgama beach near the Galle Fort. He has been confirmed to be infected by a PCR test conducted by the Rathgama MOH today.
The Health Division of the Galle Municipal Council on Saturday (24) collected biological samples from 726 fishermen, traders and service providers at the Galle Fisheries Harbor, Rathgama and Jakotuwa and sent them for PCR tests.
