The Police today arrested five suspects including a Pradeshiya Sabha member for allegedly assaulting a female member of the Ridimaliyadda Pradeshiya Sabha last week. Police said that the incident had been reported last Sunday(10). According to Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara the incident had taken place in Mahiyangana. Sisira Kumara Bandara, who is also a member of the Ridimaliyadda Pradeshiya Sabha, R.M. Jayathilake (41), R.M. Premadasa (44), Siril Rajapaksa (44) and H.N. Perera (47) were arrested in connection with the incident. Suspects are to be produced before the Court.
