Chief Epidemiologist Dr. Sudath Samaraweera urged the people to strictly follow COVID-19 preventive health guidelines even after the curfew has been lifted.
Dr. Samaraweera said the risk of COVID-19 prevails regardless of the curfew.
“The curfew was imposed to help trace patients in the Western Province and other areas. Lifting of curfew doesn’t mean the risk of COVID-19 has been reduced. People should strictly follow health guidelines by restricting movements and maintaining social distance,” he said.
