The Ministry of Finance has suspended all foreign travel for state officials, The Morning learnt.
Secretary to the Ministry of Finance S.R. Attygalle said that all travel has been suspended due to the global pandemic situation.
“We have suspended (foreign) travel of all state officials because of the coronavirus outbreak around the world,” he said.
He said the decision for the suspension was taken solely due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
It is also learnt that the Ministry of Finance has requested all ministry and state ministry secretaries as well as department heads to cancel all impending foreign travel of state officials until they are restructured.Foreign travel suspended for state officials
