Former Sri Lanka Air Force Commander Roshan Goonetileke has been appointed as the Governor of the Western Province today.
Goonetileke took oaths before President Gotabaya Rajapaksa a short while ago.
He replaces Dr. Seetha Arambepola who had resigned from the post recently.
Dr. Arambepola resigned after being named as a member of the national list of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).
