Four former parliamentarians have been summoned by the Presidential Commission probing incidents of political victimization during the former government.
The Commission has issued the relevant summons today (15).
Accordingly, the Commission has issued summons to former MPs Patali Champika Ranawaka, Rajitha Senaratne, Arjuna Ranatunge and Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
The Commission is to also issue summons to several key public officials as well as former heads of law enforcement authorities.
The summons were issued following the revelations made by Avant Garde Maritime Services (AGMS) Chairman, Major (Retd) Nissanka Senadhipathi before the Commission of the many instances of alleged political victimization faced by him during the former government.
The Presidential Commission has been mandated to probe into allegations of political victimization that had taken place from January 8, 2015 till November 16, 2019.
