Customs seizes 58 MT of 'undu' seeds illegally imported from India

[foogallery id="127258"] Fifty eight metric tons of fraudulently imported  'undu' seeds worth more than Rs. 40 million has been seized by the Customs today. The consignment had arrived from India. The four containers of 'undu' seeds were seized by the Customs Officials under the instructions of Customs Director General (Retired) Major General V. Ravipriyage. The consignment has been imported declared as 72 metric tonnes of corn seed. However, Customs officials said that only 12 metric tonnes of corn seed had been imported. Pics- Eshan Dasanayake
