A programme to provide free internet to state university undergraduates will commence today (23).
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa yesterday (23) instructed the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) to provide free internet facilities to undergraduate who have registered for e-learning.
The decision was taken in a bid to enable students to continue e-learning activities without interruption until the the country returns to normalcy.
Accordingly, the Administrations of Universities and the University Grants Commission (UGC) have forwarded details of registered students to the TRCS.
