Fuel prices will have to be increased if the Finance Ministry does not provide relief or a price concession, according to Minister of Energy Udaya Gammanpila.
He made this statement during a media briefing which was held in Colombo today (13).
Gammanpila said that Lanka IOC had requested to increase the price of a litre of Petrol by Rs. 15/- and a litre of Diesel by Rs. 25/-, and Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has also requested an increase in prices.
Gammanpila said these requests are being considered and a final decision is yet made.
