Minister of Energy Udaya Gammanpila will attend the “Gastech 2021” exhibition and conference in Dubai next week, where he is expected to speak on policies to support the rapid expansion of the hydrogen supply chain.
The Ministry of Energy confirmed his attendance at the world’s largest exhibition and conference supporting the gas, LNG (liquefied natural gas), hydrogen, and energy industry, which will be held from 21-23 September.
Gastech is a global platform on a mission to provide a carbon-neutral, affordable energy future for all by 2050. Minister Gammanpila will be part of a panel that includes energy ministers and officials from Bangladesh, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, and Portugal.
A delegation of public officials is expected to accompany the Minister on the three-day official visit.
