With the country already completing a workweek with the Colombo and Gampaha districts carrying out its business activities amidst the curfew and the rest of the country experiencing curfew only from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. during weekdays, the special gazette pertaining to the said resumption of civilian life is yet to be published.
The Ministry of Health and Indigenous Medical Services, when asked of the exact date of publishing the gazette, said they were unable to provide a response as they too are not aware about the status of the special gazette notification.
The responsibility of publishing the special gazette is in the hands of the Ministry of Health and Indigenous Medical Services now and when inquired on Friday (15), we were told that the draft was pending at the Attorney General’s Department for vetting.
