Germany suspends AstraZeneca for all under 60

31 Mar 2021

Germany has suspended the use of Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine for people under 60, foreign media reported today. According to BBC news, the vaccination has been suspended due to several cases of blood clots after the injection. In Germany, 2.7 million people have been vaccinated so far, and 31 of them have been reported to have blood clots. Canada also previously stopped administering the AstraZeneca vaccine to people under 55 years of age. Meanwhile, ABC news reported that Britain has stated that the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine is the most effective vaccine and has saved many lives in the country. The first vaccine has already been given to nearly 30 million people in the UK, and more than 50 people will be vaccinated by April 15 and all adults by July, according to BBC News.
