Global COVID-19 cases reach 1.92 million

Some 1.92 million people around the world have now been confirmed to have the new coronavirus, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. More than 119,500 have died, while nearly 450,000 have recovered. The US is the global epicentre of the coronavirus pandemic with 682,619 confirmed cases and 23,608 deaths.
