Former President and leader of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) said that 2/3 majority in Parliament was wielded because of the 14 MPs representing the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.
He made this statement while speaking in Parliament a short while ago today (25)
"Everyone must keep in mind about the 2/3 majority and the governance. Previous Governments of Former Prime Minister Sirimavo Bandaranaike, Late J. R. Jayawardena, and Chandrika Bandaranaike failed because they wanted to hold on to power," he said.
Sirisena further added that the current state of the country is the repercussion of internal conflicts due to an alliance.
