The Presidential Secretariat has issued a circular requesting all public institutions to use the 'Stay Safe” (Suwen Sitimu) mobile app, which provides digital contact tracing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The circular dated November 16 has been issued to all ministries, state ministries, provincial councils, district secretaries, heads of departments and the chairmen of government corporations and statuary bodies.
All public institutions should register at www.staysafe.gov.lk website and obtain a QR code which should be displayed at all entry and exit points.
All employees and visitors should scan the QR code when they enter and leave the institution.
The employees and visitors who do not use a smart phone can use the SMS method to provide their data when leaving and entering an institution.
