Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa today stated (19) that the present Government is leading the country into slavery with the Port City Economic Commission Bill.
He stated that the government is taking steps to treat the 22 million citizens of the country as third class citizens while enslaving them to international powers.
“What they are doing is economic terrorism. Opportunities of the country’s people are being denied while the government is paving the way for international powers in the country,” he stated.
Premadasa also stated that they would oppose the decision strongly and make sure that justice is done to the people following the hearings of the petitions against the Port City Economic Commission Bill that is currently underway.
