The Government must stop hiding the thieves behind the Litro gas scam said Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) MP Vijitha Herath.
He made this statement while speaking to the media today (07).
"The chairman of Litro gas Lanka should stop making baseless comments and reveal to the public who the thieves are. Documentation should be presented for proper legal action to be taken, it is the right of the people. But, the main concern is that the Government uses their powers to hide the thieves," said Herath.
He also added that just as all scams have been previously covered up, this also would also be covered up by the Government.
Earlier yesterday, the chairman of the Litro Gas Lanka company revealed that there is a "gas mafia" that is currently involved with the Government, and thus the hindrance of uninterrupted gas supply to the country.
