Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said today that the government tried to control the COVID-19 pandemic by resorting to cheap options instead of doing the right thing.
Speaking at an event held in Katharagama to discuss and find solutions to the issues of the public, MP Premadasa said, “COVID-19 management efforts of the government are not trustworthy. It tried to do what’s cheap instead of what’s right. A ‘paniya’ which is not even approved by the authorities was promoted as a cure for COVID, and some people go behind that.”
