State Minister Piyal Nishantha today stated that the government is focused on creating a well-equipped and safe environment for pre-school teachers.
He stated this at a programme held in Bulathsinhala to distribute sanitary and hygienic equipment required to run pre-schools under proper hygiene practices.
Thermometers and hand wash basins were provided to 116 pre-schools. This programme was implemented with the assistance of the World Bank.
The Minister of State recalled how the facilities provided for pre-school teachers were slashed during the last government period and that the present government is trying its best to reconstruct a safe and well-equipped environment for teachers.
