The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal presented by Minister of Environment and wildlife Resources to repair and maintain the prevailing electric fences.
According to the Government this decision has been taken as a measure to resolve the Human-Elephant Conflict.
The cabinet has also approved to secure funds and human resources for this purpose, and to implement proposed programs with the assistant of District Secretaries and other Parties.
