The Government is negotiating a deal to regain full ownership of the Trincomalee Oil Tank Farm, The Morning learnt.
Government Spokesman Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said a request in that regard was made during recent high-level talks with India.
“There was a request made by (Indian) Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the Trincomalee Oil Tank Farm.”
Rambukwella said that India had responded positively.
