In a Circular issued today, The Ministry of Education has made the Grade Five Scholarship Exam non-compulsory for students.
Minister of Education, Akila Viraj Kariyawwasam has taken this decision after considering those recommendations put forward by a committee that was appointed to look into the reformation of the Grade Five Scholarship Examination.
The Minister further has taken steps to make void the Circular that was in place initially making the Grade Five Scholarship Exams compulsory for all students.
