Guidelines for public and private sector once curfew is lifted

The government took measures to relax curfew imposed in several districts. http://www.themorning.lk/curfew-in-several-districts-relaxed/ Once the curfew is relaxed, state entities including Departments, Corporations, and banks should operate as usual. -Public sector 
  • 1/3 of the public sector workers in the Colombo district should report to work.
  • In other districts 50% of public sector workers should report to work.
  • Remaining public sector employees must work from home.
  • Who reports to work and who doesn't can be decided by the heads of the relevant government authorities.
  • The management should ensure that COVID-19 health guidelines are followed by employees.
The Transport Board and the Railway Department must ensure transport facilities for the employees who report for work. Although the number of staff attached to state institutes has been numerically limited, it is mandatory for the state transport and other essential services to function in full strength. Private Sector 
  • Private sector firms are requested to open at 10 am.
  • Heads of private sector firms must decided who reports to work and who should work from home.
  • Heads of private sector firms must ensure that health guidelines are followed to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Transport 
  • Buses, vans, and trains should only accommodate half its capacity.
  • All vehicles must be disinfected.
  • The government has requested the private sector to commence transport services under above guidelines.
Other 
  • Schools, universities, tuition classes, and other education institutes and cinemas will remain closed until further notice.
  • All types of celebrations , trips, tours , carnivals , parades (perahara), pilgrimages, religious celebrations are banned until further notice.
  • The public must strictly follow relevant COVID-19 health guidelines as the coronavirsu has not yet been eradicated from the country.
  • The public is requested not to gather in large crowds at shops/supermarkets once the curfew is lifted.
  • The public is advised to act responsibly and to exercise patience until the coronavirus threat is over.
