Hakeem, Rishad reappointed as Ministers

Rauff Hakeem and Rishad Bathiudeen were today reappointed as cabinet Ministers. In all, four Muslim Parliamentarians who resigned from their portfolios during the tense period following the Easter Sunday attacks, were reappointed to their posts today. Accordingly, Rauff Hakeem took oaths as the Minister of City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education, Rishad Bathiudeen as the Minister of Industry & Commerce, Resettlement of Protracted Displaced Persons, Co-operative Development and Vocational Training & Skills Development, Ameer Ali Mohamed Shihabdeen as the State Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Rural Economic Affairs and Abdullah Maharoof as the Deputy Minister of Ports and Shipping. They took oaths before President Maithripala Sirisena today. Meanwhile, Buddhika Pathirana took oaths as the State Minister of Industry & Commerce, Resettlement of Protracted Displaced Persons, Co-operative Development and Vocational Training & Skills Development.
