Former Minister of Economic Reforms and Public Distribution Harsha de Silva claimed that Sajith Premadsa was denied the opportunity to meet his supporters at the Sirikotha UNP headquarters today.
However, Premadsa met with his supporters at the vauxhall street campaign office.
Silva taking to his Twitter account said, "UNP General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam should have just let Sajith thank the 5.5m citizens of Sri Lanka who voted for him from Sirikotha."
On Tuesday, UNP Parliamentarian Nalin Bandara claimed that the party had failed to fully support Premadasa’s campaign.
However, Kariyawasam had denied such claims and said full support was provided to Premadasa's campaign by the Sirikotha UNP Headquarters.
