The All Ceylon Health Trade Union Federation said a protest would be launched on December 1, 2 and 3 outside selected hospitals against several demands.
The Federation demanded that a new mechanism based on a scientific approach should be implemented to control the COVID-19 pandemic.
They also demanded to allocate more funds from the budget to the health sector and additional allowances and facilities for the health officials engaged in COVID-19 control measures.
The protests would be held at Kurunegala Teaching Hospital on December 1, Galle, Matara, Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children and Matale Hospitals on December 2 and Colombo South Teaching Hospital, Badulla, Ampara, Tangalle and Horana Hospitals on December 3 at 12 pm.
