The Health Trade Union Confederation has decided to withdraw from all health services from 7 am to 12 noon today (11).
Many trade unions including the Medical Laboratory Professionals Association, Government Nurses Association, Sri Lanka Public Health Inspectors Association and Sri Lanka Family Health Service Officers Association are to take part in the strike.
Saman Rathnapriya, President of the Government Nurses' Association stated that despite the trade union action today, emergency and essential services are being provided to those affected by Covid.
Meanwhile, Divisional Secretaries, Grama Niladharis, Samurdhi Officers and Development Officers stated yesterday (10) that they will withdraw from supporting the Covid control vaccination program in the Colombo District.
