A heated debate took place in Parliament today when Illangai Thamil Arasu Katchi (ITAK) Parliamentarian M.A. Sumanthiran attempted to silence TNA MP Sivasakthi Anandan.
Sumanthiran refused to allow Sivasakthi Anandan to speak saying he has not been allocated time by ITAK to make a speech today.
Sumanthiran accused Sivasakthi Anandan of attempting to make a political speech by raising a privilege issue.
Sivasakthi Anandan however insisted that he be given time to raise his issue.
The joint opposition then spoke in support of Sivasakthi Anandan and insisted that he be given time.
