A total of 2,093 Covid patients were reported in the country yesterday (22) and the highest number of them have been identified in the Gampaha district.
According to the National Operations Center for the Prevention of Covid-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), 22 foreign nationals were among those infected yesterday.
Accordingly 364 cases have been reported from the Gampaha district.
Infections were reported from 25 districts yesterday as well.
There are six districts with more than 100 infected areas.
322 cases have been reported from the Colombo district, 292 from Kalutara, 190 from Kandy, 148 from Nuwara Eliya and 136 from Batticaloa.
