The National Operations Center for the Prevention of Covid-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated that the highest number of vaccines administered yesterday took place in the Gampaha district, with 65,617 doses given.
Among them, 65,035 were inoculated with the Sinopharm first dose and 582 were inoculated with the second dose of the same.
There were 39 vaccination centers in Gampaha that facilitated the vaccinations.
Meanwhile, 48,344 were inoculated in the Colombo district.
Among them, 348 received the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
43,617 received the first dose of Sinopharm and 348 received the second dose of the Sinopharm vaccine.
In total, 354,645 persons were vaccinated across the island yesterday.
