Some 20 persons, including notorious “Wele Suda”, are still continuing their hunger strike at the Boossa Camp, while some had given up the strike.
Commissioner General of Prisons Thushara Upuldeniya said that around 25 prisoners had stopped the hunger strike.
“Twenty-five prisoners have begun eating meals once again. However, there are some who are still continuing the strike.”
He said their demands would not be entertained.
“They are asking for demands such as mobile phone access. We cannot compromise the security of the prison, so we will not even consider their demands.”
