President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, in an interview with foreign media Bloomberg, stated that he would be completing the remaining 2 years of his tenure as President.
He had further mentioned that despite the months long protests by citizens calling for his resignation, he had no intention to resign, but additionally stated that he will not stand for a re- election.
