The Supreme Court has ordered Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara and former Defense Secretary Hemasiri Fernando to appear before the court over a fundamental rights petition filed against them.
The fundamental rights petition is said to be taken up in Court on 21 May.
The petition has been filed by father who had lost his son and daughter to the Easter Sunday attacks and has accused the IGP and the former Defense Secretary for infringing the fundamental rights of the people by failing to prevent the attacks.
