Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara has refused to follow instructions issued by former Minister of Law and Order Ranjith Madduma Bandara.
Madduma Bandara had instructed the IGP to maintain the status quo on the security of former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and former Ministers.
A letter in this regard was handed over to the Police Headquarters by former Deputy Minister of Law and Order Nalin Bandara yesterday.
