President Maithripala Sirisena says he will implement his policies on the economy while the UNP goes ahead with its own policies.
The President stated this in response to a question that was raised at a gathering organised by the President’s Office to brief the media on the implementation of Mahaweli irrigation projects.
When asked how the President will go ahead with some economic policies that do not fall in line with the policies of the UNP, the President responded by saying he will go ahead with his economic policies while the UNP implements its own.
