Imperial College win SL leg of Red Bull Campus Cricket 2021

[caption id="attachment_124535" align="alignleft" width="414"] Imperial College celebrate their one-wicket victory over Central Campus Colombo in the Red Bull Campus Cricket Sri Lanka’s final on Sunday (14) at BRC ground, Colombo[/caption] Red Bull hosted the ninth Red Bull Campus Cricket (RBCC) championship at BRC grounds, Colombo over the weekend. The 12 colleges that took part in the tournament this year were: ACBT, Central Campus Colombo (CCC), ESOFT, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU), ICBT Campus, ICON Business School, Imperial College, Royal Institute of Colombo, SAEGIS, Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT), Sri Lanka Institute of Management (SLIM), and Sri Lanka Technological Campus (SLTC) In the semi-finals of the tournament, CCC beat SLIM by eight wickets while Imperial College beat ESOFT by five wickets. In the finals held on Sunday (14), Imperial College beat CCC by a margin of just one wicket to clinch the title. The Man of the Series was Chamindu Wijesinghe of CCC. He scored a total of 42 runs while taking nine wickets in the tournament. Ayesh Harshana of the triumphant Imperial College starred for them getting a tally of nine wickets. Nipun Malinga too made 35 runs while taking eight wickets for CCC.
