The consignment of 500,000 doses of COVISHIELD vaccines from India to Sri Lanka have been loaded onto the flight to be dispatched to Sri Lanka today, the Indian High Commission said.
The High Commission said, Duruthu Poya Day, which marks the first visit of the Buddha to Sri Lanka from India, coincides with the arrival of 500,000 doses COVISHIELD vaccine from India.
High Commission wished all a blessed Poya Day as well.
