Inter-provincial cricket - Kandy will be strong

By Hafiz Marikar in Kandy A good set of cricketers have been picked to play for the Central Province at the 12th Prima Under-15 Inter-provincial Cricket Tournament, one of the most looked-forward-to cricket competitions for the juniors, organised by Sri Lanka Cricket. The tournament will be worked off from today, Sunday. The teams taking part this year are: Group “A”: Western Province South, Southern Province, Western Province South Outer, Western Province North Outer, North Western Province, and North Central Province Group “B”: Western Province Central, Central Province, Uva Province, Western Province North, Eastern Province, and Northern Province The Central Province Cricket Association (CPCA) Secretary Janaka Pathirana said the following players would be included in the Central squad: Anjala Bandara, A.I. Galapitiyage, Tisara Ekanayake, T.S. Mathews, Lahiru Abeyasinghe, Ishaa Maduwantha, Isuru Pannala, Dulara Bandulasena, Kuslan Wijetunge, Rahal Amarasinghe, Supun Waduge, Vibahavitha Ehelepola, Manual Kularthne, Vihan Mudunkotuwa, Arjuna Udugoda, Malith Kulatunge, Ashen Senanayake, Trevon Kosgolla, W.G.M.B. Rathnayake, and Thenuka Ekanayake Today, Central Province will host Western Province at Pallekele. The match will be played under the distinguished patronage of Central Province Governor Sarath Ekanayake, who is also the incumbent President of the CPCA.
