The committee appointed to investigate and report on the incidents at Mahara Prison has handed over its interim report to the Minister of Justice today.
Retired High Court Judge Kusala Sarojini Weerawardhena, the Chairperson of the Committee, handed over the interim report to Minister Ali Sabry in the presence of committee members and State Minister Lohan Ratwatte.
The Ministry said the Committee is scheduled to submit a full report within a month.
