Island wide power cut schedule for 24th Feb

The power cut schedule for the 24th of February has been released by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB). Accordingly, the power cuts would be divided into two time slots within the day. Meanwhile, Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) Chairman Janaka Rathnayake stated that a tentative date on when a fuel shipment, a resolution to the dollar crisis or back up plan has not been decided upon as yet and as of now only the “rain gods” can save Sri Lanka. "There is no projection on how long these load shedding power cuts would last for. Maybe till the end of April or early May. But that too, only the rain gods can save us," he stated.
