General Shavendra Silva, Commander of Sri Lanka Army and Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated today (12) that an all-island travel restriction will be imposed from tomorrow (May 13) until Monday (May 17).
The restrictions will commence at 11.00 pm tomorrow and will continue until 04.00 am on Monday.
During this period, the transport of essential items and food will be permitted. Additionally, the ongoing vaccination program in the Western Province will continue as usual.
