Negombo Youth SC vs. New Star SC
Negombo Youth beat New Star SC by two goals to nil at Sugathadasa Stadium yesterday (20). The first half ended goalless for both sides. The second half started off with New Star SC conceding an own goal from defender Sameera Krishantha. Negombo Youth managed to double the lead in the 73rd minute through Anthony Ikwegbuo. New Star managed to cut back the deficit with a goal through Nadeeka Pushpakumara in the 77th minute, but Negombo held on to their lead and secured the win.
Java Lane SC vs. SLTB
Java Lane suffered a drawback in their campaign as SLTB prised out a 1-1 draw against the table toppers at the Maligapitiya grounds. SLTB took an early lead in the 32nd minute through Vijesundaram Yugesh. The score remained the same until the break. In the second half, Java Lane managed to get on level terms with a goal from Mohommad Rizkhan. Despite relentless pressure from Java Lane, SLTB held on to the draw to hamper the winning run of the table toppers.
