JMI member apprehended

Another suspect of the banned organization Jamathei Millathu Ibraheem (JMI) has been apprehended by the Ampara Police today.

The suspect,  Mohamed Rafaideen Mohamed Ali, alias Abu Ikrima,  a resident of Welanboda in Gampola, has allegedly received weapons training by Easter Sunday mastermind  Zahran Hashim at a training camp in Nuwara Eliya.

The arrest has been made based on information provided by the State Intelligence Service (SIS).

Ampara division criminal investigation unit has so far arrested 16 suspects on SIS tip-offs.
