A member of the Kaduwela Municipal Council has been arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division for using an illegally assembled Prado jeep.
Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that the jeep was not registered with the Department of Motor Traffic.
The suspect had been using the Prado vehicle for about five years using a number plate, the police spokesman said.
The arrested 46 year old suspect is due to be produced before court today (02).
