The Academy of Health Professionals yesterday (03) submitted a letter to the Ministry of Health requesting the provision of adequate PCR equipment to the Kalutara and Kegalle hospitals.
As a large number of COVID-19 patients have been reported in these districts and given the efforts taken by several specialists in the hospitals, the provision of PCR equipmentfor faster testing and reduced infection is necessary, the release stated.
