Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) said in a media release on Friday morning that former Sri Lanka white-ball Captain and top-order batsman Kusal Perera will not play in the entire India series, starting on Sunday (18), due to an injury.
As The Morning revealed Friday morning, fast bowler Binura Fernando, who fared well in the previous England limited-over series, is also out of the ODI leg of the Indo series after sustaining an ankle injury, during practices.

Kusal Janith Perera
Kusal Janith Perera will not be able to take part in the ODI and the T20I series against India owing to an injury.
The wicket-keeper batsman suffered a right-shoulder sprain during training.
Binura Fernando
Fast bowler Binura Fernando sprained his left ankle during a practice session held yesterday (15th July, 2021).
It’s a lateral ligament sprain.
Fernando will be unavailable for the ODI series of the India tour of Sri Lanka.
