Private sector employees who have lost their jobs or been dismissed due to the Covid-19 pandemic are requested to inform the Labour Ministry on phone Number 0112368502 or via email: irlabur456@gmail.com, stated the Labour Department.
Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva says that this census will be conducted with the intention of taking action in the future if there is any relief that can be given to such employees.
Commissioner General of Labor Prabhath Chandra Keerthi has requested for a referral wherein those who have lost their jobs should send their name, address, telephone number, address of place of employment, date of dismissal, period of service and last basic salary to the Commissioner of Labor (Industrial Relations Division) Mission Piyasa Colombo 05.
