A Sri Lankan aboard MSC Magnifica cruise ship has been brought back to the country by the Sri Lanka Navy.
The crew member who serves as a chef aboard the ship was brought to the Colombo Harbour and has been sent to Boossa for quarantine.
The crew member had requested the President and the Prime Minister that he be brought back the country.
The operation took place following a directive from the President.
The cruise ship, which is en route to Italy from Australia, anchored near the Colombo Harbour this morning for refueling purposes while the Sri Lankan crew member was handed over during this stop.

A Sri Lankan aboard MSC Magnifica cruise ship has been brought back to the country by the Sri Lanka Navy.
