Van de Beek ruled out of Euros

Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has been ruled out of Euro 2020 with the Netherlands through injury. The 24-year-old has not featured in either of his country’s warm-up games and it is now been confirmed he will not recover in time for the tournament. In a statement, the Dutch FA said a replacement would not be called up to cover for the midfielder. Van de Beek, who has 19 international caps, was unused for the 2-2 draw against Scotland last week and he also missed Sunday’s (6) win over Georgia. Later that day, it was revealed that Van de Beek was struggling through injury. It has now been confirmed that he cannot recover in time and will withdraw from the squad entirely.

Paratici to sign as Sport Director at Spurs

Popular Spots website, Goal confirmed that Fabio Paratici will sign a deal to become Tottenham’s new sporting director this week. Paratici served as Juventus’ chief football officer, for more than a decade. He officially stepped down from the position last week on mutual agreement. Spurs are now on the verge of securing the deal with him as the club look for answers before the 2021-22 campaign. The two parties have already agreed on personal terms and he will act as the middle man between club chairman Daniel Levy and their new permanent Head Coach from next season.

Tuchel’s Chelsea push for a deal on Haaland

The reigning European Champions are taking the first steps to sign the emerging young forward. According to Daily Mail, Chelsea have officially contacted Borussia Dortmund about signing Erling Haaland. Manager Thomas Tuchel is keen on an elite centre-forward ahead of next season given his side's lack of finishing in 2020-21 season.

Juve keen to keep Morata

Juventus are currently negotiating a deal to sign Alvaro Morata on a permanent deal. According to Calcio Mercato, Juve have already paid Atletico Madrid a € 10 m (Rs. 2.4 billion) loan fee, and are now fighting to get down his final price below the pre-agreed € 45 m (Rs. 10.8 billion).

Morata was in fine form for Juve scoring 11 goals in 32 Serie A games in their 2020-21 season.
